FINALS are almost over.. SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!

Dress for Success

I know that college traditionally is four years and after this time many students will begin to build there office wardrobe. Starting out will be there interview outfit and there are many do's and don'ts around this topic. I learned in a class this semester a whole lesson about this area at work "Dress for Success," is what I like to call it. We may thing it's petty that people judge us on what we wear but, it's within the first 5 seconds people already have an opinion formed about us. So as a senior I think campus wide it's great for every student to have the keys to success in the way we dress for an interview and for the future place we will be working.
Perfect Interview dress..

Got it from Pintrest..

The saying "I got it from Pintrest" is almost like the new "just Google it". The pinning website is so popular campus wide many students are getting style inspiration just from this website forget Instyle, for the lastest trends. Not only does Pintrest, have style it has how and where to find it. With a simple click you can add it to your style board and then click on it again and it will take you to the original website homepage. In my photos I taken, I have Angela where she is  wearing bright colored pants that are really hot for the spring, she saw lots of styles of the bright pants on the website. In my other photos I have Lindsay  showing off her rock-a-billy style and she let me in on her secret to success for her cute little bun.. it's actually a sock in her hair, and she got the "How-to" from of course Pintrest.  (5th post)

Phones as different as we are...

Every student has a huge obsession with their phones, ex: because their always attached to their hands. Some said that they try to match them closest to their personalities that they can, myself included. Some students said during my little study that they match it to there outfits every day. They all agreed that they at least changed there case every few months, to keep it new and clean looking. They feel that its an important accessory, almost as important as a new handbag or shoes. Many students feel that without there phones they couldn't do normal day-to-day activities like waking up in the morning without there phone alarm or remember the phone number to call in lunch or even to do simple math problems without there calculator. Hair all OVER colors

As of recently I have see tons of males and females on campus with multi-colored hair and ombre colored hair. I think it's due to celebs with these different types of colored hair. I really enjoy watching the array of new hairstyles to match students creative outfits. It's like the finishing touch to all of their individual styles. Maybe one day I will be brave and color my hair in a fun way. (3rd post)

Getting into the Spirit

Well this week on campus, I feel as a whole everyone got in the spirit of big red! I was impressed with what students were paring their WKU gear with these past few days. Instead of the normal jeans and WKU shirt, many people were wearing cute combos of dresses and skirts, mixing causal with dressy items. Also students wore an array of color rain boots due to all of the spring showers. Also because this was the first full week of warm weather you could tell students and teachers alike were excited to get out the bright colored/cheery from the back of their closets. Whenever I get my picture to upload correctly I'll have a WKU assemble and a grouping of rain boots. (2nd post )

Student brings her own style to campus all the way from Cali..

Every student has their own style. Trends and styles catch on at different times at different places. Your hometown stores offer different types of clothing than other stores. Jasmine has a distinct style that she brought with her from California. She enjoys mixing her rocker style with very feminine details like lace and bows. (1st post )
